Police Calls: Thumping dumpsters, dog owner unleashed

Feb. 19
7:57 p.m. The caller on Lakeshore Drive reported hearing three gunshots and was certain the sounds he was hearing were not fireworks.
Feb 20
1:02 p.m. An astute caller reported a black Navigator with its door open while parked on Central Avenue. It was moved shortly thereafter.
1:05 p.m. The caller would like traffic slowed down on Highway 93 near town because all the traffic is driving over 70 mph all the time.
1:43 p.m. Someone called to ask an officer a question about the law.
3:28 p.m. Angel, a black and yellow husky/lab mix with a black collar was reported lost on Park Avenue.
Feb. 21
9:39 a.m. An open trailer left on the street on Brimstone Drive did not allow the neighbor to get out of his driveway and the plows couldn’t get through. It was stickered.
10:50 a.m. A brindle Frenchie was reported missing from Sixth Street. She’s been gone since yesterday morning.
11:04 a.m. The caller said she needed to report a fraud because a former employee altered her paycheck by $500.
1:52 a.m. An officer removed a tree trunk from the middle of State Park Road.
Feb. 22
6:40 a.m. It was unclear if someone or something was in the dumpsters on Wisconsin Avenue. The caller said he had been hearing a banging noise near the area of the dumpsters.
3:44 p.m. A male called to say there was a woman tailgating and honking at him on Highway 93.
4:54 p.m. A dog described as a small pit bull mix was found on Waverly Place.
6:19 p.m. It appeared the door of a little gray house on Fox Farm Drive had blown open.
6:38 p.m. After calling to ask law enforcement to help her find her missing purse, the caller said she had found it.
7:43 p.m. The small pit bull that was found earlier was reunited with her owner.
1:35 a.m. A pipe broke and a ceiling collapsed in one section of a building on Seventh Street, causing water to pour into rooms. No one was injured.
Feb. 24
10:00 a.m. An older, multicolored Jeep with lots of stickers has been parked on WIsconsin Avenue for three or four days.
Feb. 25
10:25 a.m. Someone left their dark gray Jeep running and unoccupied in a handicapped parking spot on Central Avenue.
2:45 p.m. A well-groomed white and beige dog was found on Wisconsin Avenue.
5:09 p.m. In the last 66 minutes, there were three accidental calls to 911.
5:26 p.m. An unleashed dog on Hospital Way was aggressively barking at the caller. The owner of the unleashed dog decided to leash his dog after the caller dialed the police.
7:36 p.m. The owner of the well-groomed white and beige dog was found.
Feb. 27
2:54 p.m. A silver Subaru was the victim of a hit and run on Hospital Way.
11:58 p.m. After a woman on River Lakes Parkway called law enforcement for a ride to a veterinarian’s office, she was advised that law enforcement could not give a ride and she should try to get an Uber.
