OTHELLO — Othello residents will be able to dispose of old leaves and grass, old appliances and scrap metals during the city’s annual cleanup week, April 3 through 8.

Appliances and scrap metal will be picked up on April 3 and 4, according to a city press release. Appliances and scrap metal must be at the curb or in the residence’s alley by April 2 to be scheduled for pickup.

A temporary disposal location for yard vegetation is being set up on the loading dock at 1016 Broadway Ave. Yard vegetation will be accepted at the Broadway Avenue location from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 5 and 8. The temporary location will accept shrub trimmings, grass clippings and old leaves.

People who want a list of accepted items can get that at Othello City Hall, 500 E. Main St., or by contacting the Othello Public Works Department at 509-488-6997.
