White, a 6-foot-4, 210 pound forward from North Idaho Christian who played at the Community Colleges of Spokane, was named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District team, announced recently. To be eligible, students must hold a 3.0 grade point average, be a starter or important reserve and be above a sophomore in athletic eligibility. On Tuesday, White, the first player in program history to be named All-Golden State Athletic Conference three times, was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. In 2022-23, White averaged a team-high 19.4 points and 5.2 rebounds a game. White scored in double figures in all but two of his 26 starts.
• ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE
The Frontier Conference announced the 2022-23 Academic All-Conference football team recently. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing and maintain a 3.25 grade point average or greater.
Among the locals named were: Max Peed (Lakeland High, jr., Carroll), Jack Prka (Coeur d'Alene High, so., Carroll), Devon Suko, (Lakeland, so., Carroll), Josiah Shields (Post Falls High, jr., College of Idaho), Derek Pearse (Post Falls, so., Montana Tech), Matt Whitcomb (Lake City High, so., Montana Tech) and Nate Masterson (St. Maries High, sr., Montana Western).
