TONASKET – The Soap Lake boys tennis squad got its first win of the season with a 3-2 win over Tonasket on Wednesday, winning two singles and a doubles match.
Soap Lake’s Logan Northup won his singles match with set scores of 6-2 and 7-5. Fransisco Ortega also won his singles match for the Eagles, winning 6-4 and 6-1.
The Eagles clinched a win with a win in the doubles match that featured Soap Lake’s Xavier Gonzales-Robinson and Christian Minniker.
Soap Lake moved to 1-0-1 on the year, the tie being to Lake Roosevelt last week.
Both the Soap Lake boys and girls teams will play Entiat at home on Saturday at 11 a.m.
