NIC SOFTBALL: Cardinals bounce back for split with Columbia Basin

PASCO, Wash. — Freshman Kennedy Hobson struck out six for North Idaho College, which bounced back to beat Columbia Basin 10-1 in the second game of a Northwest Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday.
Columbia Basin won the opener 13-3.
Kani Korok and Summer Makinster had two RBIs and two runs scored in the second game for NIC (8-7, 3-3 NWAC).
Alexis Blankenship, a freshman from Coeur d’Alene High, had an RBI single and two runs scored in the first game, then hit a solo home run in the nightcap for Columbia Basin (10-4, 3-1).
NIC travels to Walla Walla for a doubleheader today.
