Mattawa woman charged after collision

MATTAWA — Charges of vehicular assault are pending against a Mattawa woman after her car crossed the center line and struck another car head-on Sunday.
Jayri Ramirez-Garcia, 19, was driving north on State Route 243 at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday when she ran into a car driven by Juan Barajas Villareal, 45, Seattle, according to a press release from the Washington State Patrol. The press release said intoxicating substances were involved.
Barajas Villareal and three passengers in his vehicle were injured and transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. The passengers were, Rosaura Barajas Castro, 40, no address listed; Fabiola Nunez, 41, and Juan Nunez Solano, 45, both of Seattle.
The collision occurred about 1.5 miles southwest of Mattawa, the press release said.
