Kind. Smart. Loving. Funny. Giving. Prankster. Those are just some of the things that come to mind when you think of Garrett Jay Clark. Our loving son, brother, grandson, athlete and friend passed away at the age of 15 on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Garrett was born Nov. 27, 2007, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and was always known for his kind heart, soft approach, academics, athleticism and passion for video games, love of sports and music. This amazing young man has done so much in such a short time; working his first job at Hayden Cinemas, helping neighbors that needed help, and just flat out leaving an impressive, and lasting impression on all he encountered. Garrett was also well known for having a great sense of style and amazing hair (that we were all secretly jealous of). If Garrett wasn’t hanging out with family or friends or playing some basketball, he was chilling with his animals. Garrett’s soft touch to life was truly appreciated by his animals, who adored him, Ozzy, Nala, Boomer, Kitty and Pepper always looked forward to Garrett’s cuddles.

Garrett, or like his family loves to call him; G-Man, had an unbreakable love for his grandparents, and always enjoyed spending time with them, and they, in return, always cherished each and every minute with Garrett. Garrett Jay Clark is survived by his parents, Barbara and Jason Clark; his loving sister, Lily Clark; his grandparents, Bob and Cheryl Downing, PJ Clark, Gary and Char Clark. Though he left this world far too soon, he left this world a better place. From Heaven, Garrett leaves us with this:

I cannot be seen, but I can be felt and heard. Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your prayers and your memories.

A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815. In honor of Garrett, the family has asked that everyone wear their favorite sports jersey.

Please visit Garrett’s online memorial and sign his guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com. Yates Funeral Home Entrusted with final arrangements.
