Timme named to Wooden All-American team, finalist for Wooden award
LOS ANGELES — Gonzaga's Drew Timme was named to the 2023 John R. Wooden All-American Team, and tabbed as a finalist for the Wooden Player of the Year Award for the second straight season.
Timme was named to the Wooden All-American Team for the third straight year.
The 10-player Wooden Award All American Team, alphabetically, consists of Zach Edey (Purdue), Trayce Jackson-Davis (Indiana), Jaime Jaquez Jr. (UCLA), Brandon Miller (Alabama), Jalen Pickett (Penn State), Marcus Sasser (Houston), Timme (Gonzaga), Oscar Tshiebwe (Kentucky), Azuolas Tubelis (Arizona), and Jalen Wilson (Kansas).
The five finalists for the 2023 John R. Wooden Award are Edey, Jackson-Davis, Sasser, Timme and Wilson.
The five-player women's Wooden Award All American Team, alphabetically, consists of: Aliyah Boston (South Carolina), Cameron Brink (Stanford), Caitlin Clark (Iowa), Mackenzie Holmes (Indiana) and Maddy Siegrist (Villanova).
All five men's and women's players have been invited to Los Angeles for the 47th annual presentation of the John R. Wooden Award.
Big Sky announces 14-member 2023 Hall of Fame class
FARMINGTON, Utah — The Big Sky Conference announced its 2023 Hall of Fame class on Thursday, with 14 members headlining the second group to be inducted in league history.
The 2023 Hall of Fame class features individuals spanning seven different institutions, as both Sacramento State and Weber State leads the league with its three new members being added.

With the newest additions, the Hall of Fame now features 28 members combining the inaugural class — which included former University of Idaho great and Coeur d'Alene High grad John Friesz — with the newest grouping.
The 2023 class will be honored on Saturday, July 22 as part of the Big Sky Football Kickoff Weekend in Airway Heights, outside Spokane. Tickets for the event, slated to start at 6:30 p.m. at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino, can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2023-big-sky-hall-of-fame-banquet-tickets-602860400687. Each ticket is $80, which includes admission to the event and a meal at the banquet.
