LAKELAND SCHOOL LEVIES: Vote yes
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 years, 11 months AGO
There is one reason to vote yes for Lakeland Schools on May 16. For the future of our youth.
We are the parents of four kids who have attended Lakeland schools and we have the honor of working for the school district as well. It has been a pleasure to have a front-row seat to good things happening.
If you visit our school, you will see for yourself. You will easily find students engaged in learning. You will find them participating in music, computer science, art, Future Farmers of America, family and consumer science, KTEC programs, theater, business classes, dual credit classes and athletics, to name a few. You will see that our students come from various backgrounds and socioeconomic levels, yet they are one proud team. They like each other and support each other. You will see quality professionals who are gifted at teaching our kids. Our school leadership staff creates an organized environment that strives for excellence and efficiency in serving our youth. Our support staff works tirelessly.
Our students inspire us. They have been raised by good families and they have common decency and good manners. If you are feeling like things are bleak, you will be refreshed to see our students doing good things. You will see hope in our Lakeland youth. These well-rounded, hardworking and skilled students are the people we want running our communities in 10 or 20 years from now.
We must keep the quality going. Our community’s long tradition of generosity in backing Lakeland Schools has been essential to our community’s strength. We are grateful. We trust that our voters care deeply about preserving what is good for our youth and will show up to vote yes on May 16.
Let’s keep a good thing going!
