May 3
Report of a subject beating up his own vehicle in the 100 block of Alder Street Northwest. Subject said his vehicle had been impounded the night before. Subject said he was angry that the vehicle would not start in the morning and upset at the amount of money it would cost to repair.
Report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision in the 1100 block of Basin Street Southwest.
Report of an attempted camper break-in. Unknown subject broke a key off in the lock. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
May 4
Report of a vehicle theft in the 10 block of G Street Southwest. Subject visited victim briefly at victim’s residence, then got in the vehicle and fled. The subject was located just outside of town. Subject admitted taking the vehicle because the person she believed owned the vehicle asked her to.

Report of a vehicle egged on E Street Southeast.

Report of a window damaged in the 1200 block of Yakima Street Southeast.
Report of a vehicle collision in the area of SR 283 and SR 28. Minor injuries were reported.

Report of a two-vehicle collision at D Street and First Avenue Southeast.

Report of a vehicle driving erratically on Railroad Avenue Northwest. Vehicle was stopped in the 2300 block of Cherry Blossom Drive. Oscar Reyes Gonzalez, 26, of Ephrata was arrested, processed for DUI, cited and released.
Report of a firearm stolen from a residence on Basin Street Southwest.
Report of theft from a business in the 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Subject was observed concealing items in a backpack. Subject was detained and items recovered.

K-9 security team joins staff at Confluence
WENATCHEE — A security dog will be patrolling the halls of Central Washington Hospital, part of an expansion of the security team for Confluence Health. Atlas, a three-year-old German Shepherd, and his handler Justin Bennett will be on the hospital campus and at Confluence Health’s Mares building on Chelan Avenue in Wenatchee.
Three booked after threatening victim, stealing his car
MOSES LAKE – Three Moses Lake men were booked into the Grant County Jail Tuesday morning for assaulting a man, threatening to kill him and stealing his car on Monday, according to a statement from Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Ephrata PD releases statement on jail death investigation
EPHRATA – The Ephrata Police Department released a statement Tuesday indicating that the Central Basin Investigative Team, a joint task force made up of law enforcement agencies from around the region, is investigating the death of Richard Lambert, an inmate at the Grant County Jail.
