Suzanne Adair Anderson, 75

Suzanne Adair Anderson, 75, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed on to her heavenly home May 8, 2023. Suzanne was born a leap-year baby Feb. 29, 1948, in Spokane, Wash., to Robert and Marian Koontz.

Suzanne graduated in 1966 from IHM High School in Coeur d’Alene. After high school, in June of 1970 Suzanne married the love of her life, Norman J. Anderson. They moved to Moscow, Idaho, where Norm finished his degree in mechanical engineering and Suzanne worked at First National Bank. After graduation, the couple returned to Coeur d’Alene to start their family and Norm joined his father in the family business, Tapley Cabinet Works, Inc.

Suzanne’s faith and love of the Lord led her direction in life; she lived a life in service to God, family and friends.

Suzanne came from a large family and was very close to her seven siblings and their families. She was the glue that held the families together, ensuring that momentous occasions were celebrated with an abundance of food and love.

In retirement, Norm and Suzanne spent summers in Coeur d’Alene and winters in Mesa, Ariz. Suzanne enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Women’s Golf Club and Apache Wells Country Club in Mesa. Suzanne loved being at her lake cabin surrounded by family and friends, especially her five grandchildren, Isabella, Quinn, Owen, Evan, and Bennett.

In Mesa, Suzanne enjoyed spending time with her tight-knit community of friends and family, golfing and watching Gonzaga Basketball.

Anyone who knew Suzanne understood her enthusiasm for life, exemplified by her generous nature and willingness to lend a helping hand. Suzanne would do anything for anyone without hesitation.

Suzanne is survived by her husband, Norman J. Anderson, Coeur d’Alene; son Jeff Anderson (Heather), granddaughter Isabella, grandson Quinn of Spokane; son Matthew Anderson (Amie), grandsons Evan, Bennett and Owen of Coeur d’Alene; sister Linda Koontz of El Paso, Texas; sister Melanie Staples (Dick) of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; brother Robert Koontz (Julia) of Coeur d’Alene; sister Carolyn Dietz (Tim) of Post Falls, Idaho; brother David Koontz (Deedee) of Coeur d’Alene; sister-in-law Donna Richardson (Joe) of Coeur d’Alene; brother-in-law Jim Anderson (Nancy) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister Mary Persad of El Paso, Texas, as well as a large number of loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Koontz, and father Robert Koontz; sister Kathleen Reitz; brother-in-law Donald Reitz; sister Christine Schmidt and brother-in-law Dale Schmidt.

All family and friends are invited to her memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Real Life Church 1860 N. Cecil Road (building 2), Post Falls, ID 83854.
