Coulee City student named to college honor society

COULEE CITY — Central Washing University student and Coulee City native Ruth Bresee has been initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline college honor society, according to a society press release.
Bresee is one of about 25,000 university students, staff and faculty invited every year to join the society, the press release said. The society was founded in 1897 to recognize excellence in all academic disciplines and currently has chapters on more than 325 university campuses across the United States, U.S. territories and in the Philippines.
