Parent meeting set for

Coeur d’Alene High football

There will be a parent meeting for all Coeur d’Alene High football players on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the team room above Jordan Court.

The meeting is for all parents with children who plan to play next year from freshmen to seniors.

Eighmey adds assistants

to Vandal hoops staff

Idaho women’s basketball coach Carrie Eighmey officially announced the addition of Arthur Moreira and Devin Eighmey as well as the return of Drew Muscatell.

Moreira will serve as the associate head coach, joined by Muscatell as the assistant head coach and Devin Eighmey will focus on recruitment coordination.

Moreira joins the staff after seven seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at San Francisco from 2016-23. He currently serves as the assistant coach for the Brazilian Basketball Foundation U19 National Team.

Muscatell has been an instrumental factor in the Vandals’ success in the past seasons since 2018. He has been responsible for forward and post player development, seen in Beyonce Bea, the two-time unanimous First Team All-Big Sky selection. Bea announced she was transferring to Washington State on social media on Tuesday.

Devin Eighmey follows his wife after seven seasons at Division II Nebraska-Kearney.

At UNK, Devin Eighmey was involved with all aspects of the program and had a direct impact with recruitment efforts. He was part of a staff that led the Lopers to three straight NCAA appearances from 2021-23, including a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2021.

Vandals add three to men’s hoops roster

Idaho men’s basketball coach Alex Pribble announced the addition of three signees, as freshmen Kristian Gonzales, Miles Klapper and Walla Walla Community College transfer Kyson Rose join the Vandal men’s basketball program for the 2023-24 season.
