Notes: Lake City senior Trevor Cogley, who has signed with Boise State, holds the top time in the 400-meter dash (48.11 seconds) according to Athletic.Net, and is third in the 200 (22.15) … Post Falls senior Trevor Miller, who has committed to play football at Idaho as a preferred walk-on, is the top seed in the shot put (57 feet, 1 ½ inches) and is second in the discus 168-6 … Post Falls senior Annastasia Peters is the top seed in the 1,600 (4:56.45) and 3,200 (10:33.09) … Peters, who has signed to run cross country and track and Utah, was runner-up in the 3,200 at state last year … Post Falls senior Capri Sims, who has signed to play basketball at Division II Central Washington in Ellensburg next year, is the top seed in the shot put (45-6 ½). Rocky Mountain’s boys have won 10 of the past 11 state titles dating back to 2011 … Boise has won the past two state titles … “I think we’re ready to go see what we can do to bring back a trophy,” said Post Falls coach Wade Quesnell, whose girls team brought home a trophy last year by finishing fourth. “We’ve got some kids that can score some points in a few different events. It’s going to be tough, but we’ll be ready to go.”

Notes: The Lakeland boys relay team of seniors Thomas Calder, Nick Nowell and Terry Edwards, and sophomore Weston Saputski, is the top seed in the 4x100 relay (42.77 seconds), as well as the 4x200 (1:29.66) … Lakeland’s girls 4x100 relay team of junior Ragan Wright and seniors Chloe Charvier-Solleillet, McKenzie Palaniuk and Michaela Palaniuk are second (50.07) … senior Kenna Simon, last year’s state high jump champion, is seeded fifth (5 feet, 2 inches) … sophomore Ziya Munyer holds the top mark in the triple jump (36-10).

Bishop Kelly’s boys have won the past two state titles … Pocatello snapped Bishop Kelly’s streak of six straight girls team titles last year.
