Vandal women sign another transfer

MOSCOW — Idaho women's basketball coach Carrie Eighmey on Tuesday announced the addition of UC Santa Barbara transfer Kennedy Johnson.

Johnson, a 5-foot-11 guard from Bishop O'Dowd High in Oakland, played two seasons at UCSB.

As a sophomore, Johnson appeared in 30 games and started in three for the Gauchos. She averaged 12.1 minutes and scored 3.5 points per game. Johnson scored 105 points, shooting 41.6% (42 of 101) from the field and 94.4% (17 of 18) from the line. Johnson scored a career-high 16 points in a Gaucho win over Stanislaus State.

As a freshman, Johnson appeared in 23 games averaging 9 minutes per game. Johnson averaged 3.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
