Arminda Thompson, 97, died peacefully Oct. 25, 2023, at Boundary County Nursing Home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Arminda was born April 16, 1926, in Arcos de Sao Pedro, Portugal, the daughter of Armindo Goncalves and Laura Da Silva. She met Wyman Thompson while he was stationed in Revin, France, while serving in the U.S. Army and they were married Oct. 8, 1945.

They had four children together, Walter, Wyman James Jr. (Jim), Flora Jane (Janie), and Laura Sue (Susie).

Wyman proceeded Arminda in death Dec. 9, 1992, as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Wally, Jim, Janie and Susie. She has four living grandchildren, Mindy, Valerie, Janell and Paul James. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Nov. 8, 2023, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church at 11 a.m. She will be buried with her husband at Grandview Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church for family and friends.
