CYT's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. opens Nov. 10

Christian Youth Theatre North Idaho's production of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr." opens at 7 p.m. Friday Nov. 10 at the Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley Ave., Coeur d'Alene.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Nov. 10, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 11 and 3 p.m. Nov. 12.  

The holiday classic will be performed in a junior, 60-minute musical adaptation of the television special. "Rudolph" features everyone’s favorite characters including Santa and Mrs.Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn't feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. 

Along his journey, he encounters fellow misfits, only to realize that home is where he has belonged the whole time. When a storm threatens to keep Santa's sleigh from taking flight, it's up to Rudolph to save Christmas.
