The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Riverside Contracting Inc. have completed paving operations from the U.S. Highway 93 intersection with Round Butte Road and Terrace Lake Road, to the intersection with Third Avenue and Old U.S. 93.

This week, crews are painting temporary road markings on this section of the highway. Drivers should anticipate turn-lane and single-lane closures where this work is underway.

Paving operations will focus on the approach to the Sinclair gas station and the intersection of Round Butte Road with First Avenue. Round Butte Road will be reduced to one lane when this work occurs, and flaggers will be present.

Crews will be onsite through Friday, Nov. 10, from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. All work is dependent on weather and other unforeseen factors. Once this work is complete, paving operations will be suspended until spring.

Crews plan to continue sidewalk construction along Round Butte Road and the southbound couplet, the short segment of roadway connecting First Avenue to U.S. 93. The couplet will be closed to traffic over the winter.

The installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. 93 with Third Avenue and Old U.S. 93 has been delayed due to unforeseen supplier issues. MDT has sourced another supplier the department plans to keep the public updated.
