NIC WRESTLING: Cardinals fall at No. 8 Providence

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — Kobi Johnson, a sophomore from Greeley, Colo., notched a 4-1 decision in the night’s opening match for North Idaho College, the lone win for the Cardinals in a 39-3 loss to Providence on Thursday night.
Providence, the eighth ranked team in the NAIA preseason poll, won four matches by technical fall.
NIC returns home to face Umpqua of Roseburg, Ore., on Saturday before taking part in the Spokane Open on Sunday at The Podium.
