| November 26, 2023 1:00 AM

Terry was born in Moscow, Idaho, before moving to Hayden Lake, Idaho, with his parents, Richard and Ada Mae Turnbow, and his two sisters.

He married Donagene Knight in 1970, completed post academy for Idaho State Police in 1973, and then worked in Lewiston, Idaho, with ISP before moving home to Post Falls as a trooper.

Terry was involved with the kids. He spent time as a scoutmaster with Kory and enjoyed coaching soccer and golfing with Kyle before he retired from the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s office in 2011. Upon retirement, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, continued his love of trains and perfected the role of grandpa. He loved spending time outside playing cornhole, making s'mores and watching the grandkids play soccer, run cross country and play chess together.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donagene, and his two sons, Kory and Kyle, their wives and four sweet grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Colleen English and Stacy Elliott, and relatives within the Turnbow, English, Howell and Wiley families.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at the English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
