Volleyball 4 the Cure match tonight at Coeur d’Alene
COEUR d’ALENE — The annual Volleyball for the Cure cancer awareness match between Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene High schools is scheduled for tonight at Coeur d’Alene High.
The varsity match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Cancer survivors, and those still fighting the disease, will be honored.
Gift baskets from businesses and parents will be raffled off tonight.
Coeur d’Alene coach Carly Curtis and Post Falls coach Willow Hanna started this particular event 16 years ago, with proceeds going to various groups. The event has raised roughly $45,000 over the years.
Proceeds from tonight’s event will go to the American Childhood Cancer Organization Inland Northwest (acco.org/inlandnw), which helps families of children fighting cancer.
Ticket info announced for Kraziness in the Kennel
SPOKANE — A limited number of tickets to Saturday's Kraziness in the Kennel will be available to the general public beginning today at noon.
Fans can visit gozags.evenue.net to log into their online account to claim complimentary tickets to the event (while supplies last). Fans will be limited to two tickets per claim.
Doors to Kraziness in the Kennel open at 2 p.m. and the event begins at 3 p.m., when fans will get their first look at the 2023-24 Gonzaga men's basketball team.
Kraziness in the Kennel will be televised locally on SWX and out of the SWX region on ESPN Plus at 3 p.m. The event will also be available on the Zags' radio network.
Vandal Boosters meeting set for Thursday
COEUR d'ALENE — The monthly meeting of the Kootenai County Vandal Boosters is scheduled for Thursday at the Best Western Plus Coeur d'Alene Inn from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A Vandal football watch party for the game at Cal Poly is scheduled for Saturday at the Vantage Point Brewing Company, 208 E. Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive, starting at 4 p.m. A buffet dinner is available for $20 per person. Game time is 5 p.m.
