POST FALLS — The Post Falls Planning and Zoning Commission will hold public hearings at 5:30 tonight regarding two proposed annexations.

In one hearing, Drew Dittman of Lake City Engineering, Inc. will request approval on behalf of property owner Copper Basin Construction, Inc. to annex about 20 acres, just more than a half-mile west of the Prairie Avenue and Highway 41 intersection, into the city of Post Falls with a zoning request of a mix of high-density multi-family and community commercial services.

Single-family residential is intended for residential structures containing one or more dwelling units potentially constructed in multiple-unit configurations at moderate to high density and for accessory uses that are associated and compatible with residential uses, according to the city's website.

Community commercial services zoning supports retail sales or performance of consumer services and allows for retail, professional or service businesses, including manufacturing, technical and others.

In another public hearing, Devin Mecham on behalf of Matt DeAtley with Eucon Corporation will request to annex about 5 acres into Post Falls with a zoning request of community commercial services. The property is on the northeast corner of West Seltice Way and North Pleasant View Road.

The Post Falls Planning and Zoning meeting will be held at Post Falls City Hall, 408 N. Spokane St.
