It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandson and Nephew, Daniel Richard Torres (Danny to his family). Daniel passed away Sept. 25, 2023. Danny was born to Dan and Carla Torres on April 29, 1999, he was only 24 years young.
Danny is survived by his sisters, Tierra (Gavin) Gelhausen Buchanan, Kassandra (Kassie)(Dustin) Patchen, and Breanna (Bre) Torres. Danny has two nieces and one nephew — Alivia Rose, Peyton Marie and Nash Luka.
Daniel was born and raised in North Idaho in the Coeur d’Alene area. Daniel graduated from Lake City High School, achieved his Associate's of Arts Degree from North Idaho College and achieved his certification as a Licensed Clinical Message Therapist from the American Institute of Message Therapy. Daniel was licensed to practice in three states, Idaho, Washington and Hawaii.
Daniel always said he loved working alongside physical therapists, helping people work through their injuries and ailments and providing sports therapy.
Daniel was a very loving and caring person. He always lit up the room with his beautiful smile and could put a smile on your face with his contagious laugh. He was loved by everyone who knew him. Danny was an outgoing, energetic and adventurous person who wasn’t afraid to try anything at least once.
Daniel loved the outdoors, spending his free time backpacking, camping, hunting/fishing, snowboarding and doing water sports such as boating, wakeboarding, wake surfing, free diving and scuba diving. Daniel also loved to travel, “Completing His Dream” to backpack across Europe, traveling to Spain, France, Switzerland, Amsterdam and Germany. He traveled to Australia, the Bahamas and Aruba as well as many U.S. states such as Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, Montana, Washington, Arizona, California, Utah and Wyoming among others. The family is deeply heartbroken to have lost Danny. He was a precious soul that will never be replaced and will forever be missed by all. Our family has many great memories of him, and we will miss creating future memories.
Please keep Daniel in your thoughts, prayers and memories, never forget what a great person he was.
Please join us for a Celebration of Danny’s Life gathering on Oct. 21, 2023, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Hampton Inn — Riverstone, 1500 W. Riverstone Drive, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814. The gathering will then transfer at 5 p.m. for a Sunset Candlelight Vigil to be held at Hubbard Street Park, Lake Coeur d’Alene (NIC Dike Road) on Saturday evening at approximately 5:30.
