Robert Lee Hoffman passed away Oct. 5, 2023, in Arizona. He was born Jan. 15, 1949, to Jake and Violet Hoffman in Spokane, Wash.
Bob grew up in Burk, Idaho, with his family.
He loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR and old Western movies.
After graduation from Wallace High School, he went to Spokane Community College for a short time and was then drafted into the Army. He left the Army after 10 years and, after a short separation, he went back into the Army Reserve. Bob was the Unit Administrator of the Army Reserve Center, Hayden Lake, Idaho, until his retirement.
He was a member of the Hayden Lake Eagles 4080 Lodge for many years. Bob was a past president and volunteered many hours of service. He helped with the groundwork of the old Lodge building and helped with many volunteer hours for the new Lodge building.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Violet, and daughter Kristina (Tina) Carter. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Chris), daughter Carrie (Jason) McCharness, brother Jack (Emma) Hoffman, sister JoAnn Goodman, stepson Jerry Parks, stepdaughters Cassandra (Scott) Parks, Courtney (Jason) Roeber, many grandchildren, a great-grandson, nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
