Early learning town hall set for Tuesday

MOSES LAKE — The North Central Early Learning Coalition in cooperation with Catholic Charities, the North Central Education Service District and the Apple STEM Network will host a town hall to discuss early childhood education Tuesday at CB Tech in Moses Lake.

Local legislators State Representative Tom Dent and State Senator Judy Warnick, both Republicans, will be in attendance.

Dinner will be provided and activities for children will be available during the meeting.

CB Tech is located at 900 Yonezawa Blvd. in Moses Lake and the meeting will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Moses Lake man convicted of multiple child sex abuse charges

MOSES LAKE — Billy Gene Pinson, 46, of Moses Lake has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after being convicted of multiple crimes associated with sexually abusing minors, according to a press release from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which worked with the Moses Lake Police Department on the case.
