Nancy Buchanan Rees was born Feb. 3, 1936, in Moscow, Idaho, the daughter of Jesse E. and Leah R. Buchanan. She died Oct. 13, 2023, in Hayden, Idaho.

A lifelong member of Alpha Phi, Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board, Nancy became active in Lake City Striders, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and Cancer and Community Charities after retirement. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and reading.

Nancy is survived by Sheila (Patrick) Brown of Boise, Idaho, and Richard Rees (Kara) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, plus six grandchildren. Her parents, brother John Buchanan and the former spouse all preceded her.
