2023 Women of Distinction award winners named

Soroptimist International of Coeur d’Alene has named the 2023 “Women of Distinction” award winners.

The awards honor women whose achievements and dedication to community service set them apart. This year’s winners are:

Arts and Culture: Jeni Hegsted, Emerge

Business and Professional: Caitlin O’Brien, Smith + Malek Attorneys

Community Service: Kat Gilmore, The Literacy Project of North Idaho

Education: Louisa Rogers, Center for New Directions - NIC

Health: Tawni Sullivan, Regulate-Youth Services

Public Service: Tiffany Westbrook, Office of Emergency Management Kootenai County

Senior: Sarah McLain, Community Volunteer

Chartered in 1948 as the first civic service group for women, Coeur d’Alene Soroptimist works to better the lives of local women and girls. The group awards two scholarships each year to the “Live Your Dream” award winners and hosts a mentorship program for teen girls.

A luncheon to celebrate the winners will be 11:30 a.m. Nov. 17 at Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn.
