Connie Sue Smiddy, age 75, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Oct. 13, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.

Connie was born in Norfolk, Neb. After graduating high school from Puyallup, Wash., she traveled around a bit from Germany to Tacoma, Wash. In 1996, Connie and her husband, John, decided to make Post Falls, Idaho, their home.

A loving wife, mother to four, grandmother to seven and great-grandmother to 10, Connie loved sewing, quilting and participating in craft fairs. Homemade gifts are what she was known for. She was part of the Post Falls Mothers Club and has a quilt hanging in Post Falls Library. She looked forward to Skip-Bo Night every Friday with her four best friends, Pam, Eva, Alita and Amber and spending time with her grandkids. Connie was a gentle soul, one who always made you feel welcomed and radiated love. She will be missed tremendously, but her family will continue to make her proud and carry on her legacy.

Connie is survived by her husband of 37 years, John Smiddy; her sister, Beverly (Puyallup); her daughter, Angela Wolfe; three sons, Scott (Marge) Orr, Shaun (Kelly) Orr and Brian (Erica) Orr; granddaughter Tathiana (Lauren) with great-grandchildren James, Aurelius, Augustus and Gideon; granddaughter Giuliana (Ryan) with great-grandchildren Carter, William and Ollie-Rose; granddaughter Oceauna with great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Amelia and Audrey; grandson Devon (Kayla) with great-granddaughter Katilena; granddaughter Nevaeh; and grandsons Jaxin and Jordan, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Joy; father Marion, and brother Ken.

A celebration of life will be held for Connie on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, 2 p.m. at Mountain Lake Bible Church, 2215 N. Seventh St., Coeur d’Alene.

Any donations can be made to Newby-ginnings of North Idaho, 570 Clearwater Loop A, Post Falls, ID 83854 in her memory.
