Larry Dean Holland of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Aug. 25, 2023, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born Oct. 16, 1963, to Mearl and LaVerne Holland in Hankinson, N.D., as the youngest of six children. Larry lived in North Dakota, Montana and then grew up with his family in Spokane, Wash. He graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1982, after which he received a degree in administration of justice from Spokane Community College. His career as senior manager of corporate security and safety took him to Ohio for several years. Larry moved back to the area to be closer to family. Most recently he was working at the State Line Walmart in asset protection and loss prevention. He was passionate about his work and took pride in protecting the people around him. Larry was known as a pillar of strength and courage to his family and friends. A man of few words, he always had an authentic mischievous grin that said it all. In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and tending to his beautiful backyard and garden. He was a dedicated Seattle sports fan, especially the Seahawks!

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Mearl and LaVerne (David) Holland. He is survived by his five siblings, Janet Nogle, Nancy Porte, Rick Holland, Patty Morgan and Randy Holland; and three children, Alyssa Holland, Landon Holland and Logan Holland. He had one granddaughter and nine nieces and nephews. Larry’s smile, kindness and sweet soul will be forever missed.
