POST FALLS — Sandpoint’s Nathan Roche posted a two-mile time of 10:41 at the Post Falls River Run held at Kiwanis Park on Thursday, good enough for first place in the senior race and overall.

The men’s race was split into four different divisions, one for each grade; the girl’s race was split into freshman/sophomore and junior/senior divisions.

In the men's junior race, Priest River’s Colm McLaimtaig and Brayden Lamanna both posted top 10 times. McLaimtaig ran an 11:42 while Lamanna posted an 11:57. In the sophomore race, Sandpoint’s Paul Kent took home first place with a time of 11:37. Clark Fork’s Westin Caven came in third place also posting a time well under 12 minutes (11:43).

In the girl’s junior/senior race, Sandpoint’s Lily Richardson and Grace Rookey cracked the top 5 finishers. Richardson posted a time of 13:00; Rookey was not too far behind with a 13:08. In the freshman/sophomore race, Sandpoint’s Elizabeth Storms finished seventh with a time of 14:15. In her first ever varsity meet, Priest River’s Allannah McLaimtaig finished in top half, posting a time of 15:55.

No team scores were recorded Thursday.
