Moses Lake Interim City Manager and Police Chief Kevin Fuhr issued a statement Monday indicating that a forum set for Wednesday to allow the public to meet candidates for the permanent city manager position has been postponed.

“Two of our candidates pulled their names from the list on Friday and Saturday, having taken jobs in other cities. With only one candidate remaining, the city council thought that it would be best to identify two additional candidates that could be added to the process,” Fuhr said.

Fuhr will be working with the city’s Human Resources department to identify two additional candidates and reschedule interviews for later in September, he said. Once that event is scheduled, the new date information will be distributed.
