THREE MILE — North Bench Volunteer Fire District is hosting Fun Days on Saturdays during the month of September at Station 1.

Every Saturday in September, community members are invited to stop by the NBVFD Station 1 for games, treats and to meet district firefighters from noon to 4 p.m.

Station 1 is located at 64464 U.S. 2, Bonners Ferry, next to Iron Mike’s Gym.

NBVFD Chief Tony Shope said that as the district is an association and not a taxing district, they need to get out more to fundraise and continue to show the North Bench area the service they provide.

The NBVFD has also revamped the North Bench Volunteer Fire District Auxiliary and hopes to bring more community and fundraising events in the coming months.
