Linda Marie Smith (7/18/47–8/24/23) was born Linda Hoiland. One of six children, she grew up in a small shack next to Sugarbush Lake, near Lengby, Minn.

She lived there with her family until 9 years of age, when her family packed up and moved to Rathdrum, Idaho. Later, she married Kenneth R. Smith in 1964. Together they raised four children — Juanita, Phillip, Sterling and Jared. She was a woman defined by her love of family and her love for Jehovah. Linda is survived by two sisters, her four children, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was known for her gentle personality and her faith. She will be missed.

A memorial service for Linda will be held Sept. 30, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rathdrum. Those who knew and loved her are encouraged to attend.

Memories and condolences may be shared on her online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com
