Food donations accepted at Lake City-Coeur d'Alene boys soccer tonight

COEUR d'ALENE — Bring food, watch soccer for free tonight.

Free admission is being offered at tonight's Lake City-Coeur d'Alene boys soccer game, scheduled for 6:30 at the Coeur d'Alene High football field, with the donation of a whole-grain food item.

Donations go to the Canvas Church pantry, a school-based pantry that primarily supports students and families of Borah Elementary School, but it also open to all, as well as all families in the Coeur d'Alene School District. The pantry, located at Canvas Church, is located across the street from Borah and is open just before their school end-of-day pick-up times to help easily support families in need.

The Canvas Pantry has asked specifically for: Whole grain cereals (oatmeal, Cheerios, Chex cereals), whole grain tortillas, and whole grain crackers (Triscuits and Wheat Thins).

Food donations are also being accepted at the junior varsity game between the two teams, scheduled for today at 4:30 on the Coeur d'Alene High soccer field.
