The Kootenai County Dems Club will host a school supply donation drive for Coeur d’Alene schools from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 30 at Ramsey Park, 3525 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene.

“We hope we can help fill in the gap by providing students with some necessary supplies,” event organizer and Kootenai County Dems Club member Cathy Kraus said in a Monday news release.

“Democrats are proud supporters of our public schools, and we hope to help local children have a great school year," she said. "Please bring whatever you can to help our community schools.”

Items most needed are rulers, scissors, highlighters, calculators and protractors, composition books, pens, watercolor paint sets and college-ruled paper and notebooks.

This drive-through, drop-off event will be in the south parking lot adjacent to the softball diamonds closest to the Kroc Center. Signs will be posted near the entrance. Kootenai Democrats will also accept cash or checks made out to Coeur d'Alene School District 271 — those funds will be donated straight to the district for any other needed items.

The Kootenai County Dems Club is the social, educational and support arm of the Kootenai County Democratic Party. The club meets each Friday at noon on Zoom.
