Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 year, 4 months AGO
Robert (Bob) Dean Fenner, 60, passed away suddenly Friday afternoon Sept. 15, 2023, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
He was born May 10, 1963, to James and Arla Fenner. He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1982 and attended Phoenix Institute of Technology in Phoenix, Ariz., achieving a Certificate in Mechanics. He worked for the Idaho Transportation Department since 1998. He was a single father of two children, Tiffany and Colten, and raised them primarily in Rathdrum/Hayden, Idaho. In 2017, Bob moved to Post Falls, Idaho, where he has resided for the last six years.
Bob had a true appreciation for the outdoors. His love of hunting, fishing and riding dirt bikes knew no bounds. Outside of scouting for wild game, he enjoyed eyeing dead trees to fall. He loved Hudson Burgers, Nosworthy's “Ground Round” and roasting hot dogs over an open fire. His vast genres of music, classic and modern cars, NASCAR, football and shooting rifles kept him full in life, rarely ever relaxing. He had a heart of gold for all and would give you the shirt off his back if in need.
Preceded in death by his mother, Arla Fenner, and youngest brother, Bradley Bryan Fenner.
Grateful for having shared his life are his father, James (Jim) Fenner; his daughter, Tiffany Fenner (Jamie Forrest) of Hayden, Idaho; his son, Colten Fenner (Cinda Howard) of Athol, Idaho; his grandson, Liam Fenner; his brother, Bill Fenner (Amber Fenner) of Albuquerque, N.M.; sister Beth Peterson (Joe Peterson) of Sagle, Idaho; sister Becky Leighton (Chuck Leighton) of Hayden, Idaho, and one niece and five nephews.
