Shakespeare Coeur d’Alene sets launch party

COEUR d'ALENE — Shakespeare Coeur d’Alene has scheduled a launch party at Coeur du Christ Academy, 618 E. Wallace Ave, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The new nonprofit theater company will introduce its team and outline production plans.

“We are excited to connect with those who love theater — especially Shakespeare — and share our exciting plans with them," said Mary Bowers, Shakespeare Coeur d’Alene artistic director.

Shakespeare Coeur d’Alene will present the plays and poetry of William Shakespeare to North Idaho, beginning with its inaugural 2024 season, which will feature "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" and "Macbeth."

All are welcome. Food and beverages will be served.

Bowers said the launch party will be an opportunity for people to get involved in efforts to bring quality Shakespeare productions and events to North Idaho.
