COEUR d'ALENE — A teenager was arrested Tuesday following a crime spree in Coeur d'Alene.
The juvenile male was transported to the Kootenai County Juvenile Detention Center, where he was booked for burglary, grand theft and arson, according to a press release. Police said there may be additional charges.
Starting over the weekend and continuing through Tuesday, police responded to reports of auto burglaries, a residential burglary, multiple stolen vehicles and a vehicle fire.
During the investigation, police received information identifying a 14-year-old boy as the suspect, a press release said.
"The juvenile male was interviewed and admitted he was responsible for these crimes," the release said.
Detectives recovered some of the stolen property from the juvenile’s residence. The stolen vehicles were all previously recovered.
Sgt. Jared Reneau thanked citizens for their help.
"The information we received contributed directly to the quick arrest of the suspect and recovery of stolen property," he said.
