It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Rodger Aronoff of Post Falls, Idaho, Sept. 6, 2023, at the age of 67 years. Rodger was born May 16, 1956, in San Francisco, Calif., to Bernard and Jean Aronoff.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Aronoff. Children: Eric Cozakos (spouse Brooke), Brandy Sibert (spouse Brandon) and Ashley Stokes. Grandchildren: Bailee and Brynlee Sibert. Siblings: Mark Aronoff and Dee Aronoff Brereton. Nephews: Scott Brereton (spouse Charlotte, daughter Cora) and Brendan Aronoff. Niece Gina Berk (spouse: Isaac). Former spouse and family friend: Jo Connelly.

Rodger was a Volunteer Fire Lookout at Mount Tamalpais Peak in California and an Explorer Scout through the Tiberon Police Department. He graduated from Redwood High School in 1974 and went on to graduate from Cal State with a B.A. in Admin of Justice. While still living in California, he worked for the Burbank Police Department, Warner Brothers Studios and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as an Industrial Security Manager. In 2018, Rodger retired from the Department of the Navy in San Diego as a Senior Intelligence Officer.

Rodger selflessly donated more than 50 gallons of blood platelets and was a supporter of rescuing animals. He loved photography, taquitos and Hawaiian shirts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local charity: Bettertogetheranimalalliance.org, who helps to keep pets in their homes.
