PREP BOYS LACROSSE: Kanning nets hat trick in loss to Mead

SANDPOINT — Blayne Kanning netted three of Sandpoint’s four goals in a 10-4 loss to Mead at War Memorial Field on Tuesday.
“Blayne played a solid game yesterday,” head coach Ty Wilson said. “He saw his opportunities and didn’t hesitate to take them.”
Kanning, with the hat trick, now has a team-high 15 goals (2.1/game) on the season. Austin Waud also scored a goal Tuesday, his fifth of the season.
Dallen Adam and Sawyer Treadaway had four groundballs each for Sandpoint. Treadaway, Jacob Aexel, and Logan McGrann all had one assist each. Ryan Doko recorded 21 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
Sandpoint (1-6) will travel to Moscow to play Logos on Saturday.

Sandpoint's junior varsity is also hosting a lacrosse jamboree April 19-21 at War Memorial Field. With so few JV teams in the area, Chad Cole, Sandpoint Lacrosse President, took the initiative and coordinated the JV Jamboree.
