Irma Stevens, 92

Irma Jean Stevens went to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho at the age of 92. 

Irma was born on May 25, 1932, in Seminole County, Oklahoma, to Earl Pryor and Annebell (Anthony) Pryor. 

She married the love of her life, the Rev. Alvin Millard Stevens on April 4, 1947. She was proud to be the pastor's wife for over 70 years and helped in pioneering many full gospel churches in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, California, and Idaho. 

Irma will be dearly missed. Irma's favorite saying was "You are never poor if you are a born again Christian, maybe broke but never poor."

Irma was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Rev. Alvin Stevens; sons, Richard Stevens Terry Stevens; son-in-law, Mike Thornbrugh; granddaughter, Irmajean Spencer; grandson, Shane Michael; and her four brothers and two sisters. 

Irma is survived by her daughter, Nancy Thornbrugh Martinez and husband Marty of Naples, Idaho; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends. 

A potluck memorial will be held on Saturday, April 22, at 1 p.m. at Limitless Outpost in Bonners Ferry.
