FHF Awards $1,000 Scholarship to Local Student

BONNERS FERRY — The Fry Healthcare Foundation has awarded Brenna Stewart, a 2024 Bonners Ferry High School graduate, a $1,000 scholarship.
Brenna Stewart is the daughter of Alison Stewart, who works in Boundary Community Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Department. Stewart was selected as the recipient through a competitive essay contest.
The Children of Healthcare Heroes Scholarship Program is designed to inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders. By supporting the children of healthcare professionals, the foundation aims to cultivate a passion for healthcare within the community.
The scholarship is made possible through a partnership between the Fry Healthcare Foundation and Boundary Community Hospital. As part of its commitment to the community, Boundary Community Hospital officials said the hospital is dedicated to fostering a strong healthcare workforce by supporting the children of its dedicated staff.
“We are thrilled to award this scholarship to Brenna,” said Danielle Larsson, Fry Healthcare Foundation coordinator. “Her essay demonstrated a clear passion for healthcare and a strong commitment to serving our rural community. We believe she has a bright future ahead in the medical field.”
