A Post Falls woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 just east of Coeur d’Alene Friday morning.

According to the Idaho State Police, the 31-year-old woman was driving a 2000 Dodge Durango eastbound near Milepost 19 about 11 a.m. when the vehicle went off the roadway on the right shoulder, over-corrected and crashed into the center concrete jersey barrier. The vehicle overturned and came to rest upside-down on the road.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 31-year-old male passenger was transported to a hospital by ground ambulance, the release said.

The driver and passenger were not wearing seat belts, the press release said.

The roadway was blocked for about three hours.

An investigation continues.

A sepia-toned photograph of about 30 businessmen hangs in the office of Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber’s President and CEO, Linda Coppess. The photo is a reminder of the Chamber’s 114 years of history, Coppess said in her address to nearly 200 attendees at Tuesday morning’s Breakfast Connect event.
