WENATCHEE — The fourth annual Artificial Intelligence Expo will take place in Wenatchee on Aug. 21, according to an announcement from the North Central Washington Tech Alliance.

The show, hosted by NCW Tech Alliance, North Central Education Services District and the Apple STEM Network and held at the Wenatchee Convention Center, will showcase AI’s transformative cross-sector potential and impact on Washington state policy and economics, according to the announcement.

Attendees will engage with experts, explore cutting-edge AI applications and discuss the future of AI in Washington right here in our local communities, the announcement said. There will be inspiring keynotes and breakout sessions and a chance to get hands-on in the Microsoft Copilot session and learn about local use cases in finance, marketing, agriculture, and education. Attendees can also explore the impact of AI on entrepreneurship with angel investors and make a connection between the transformative applications of AI and the physical infrastructure of the data centers that are growing in number across North Central Washington.

Speakers include Nisaini Rexach of Microsoft; Dr. Min Sun of the University of Washington, Dr. Joseph Williams, Washington State Department of Commerce; Alex Albert, Anthropic; Nick Ellingson, Washington Technology Industry Association; John Albert, Ellips USA; Nathan Beam, Forward Financing; Will Little, Prota Ventures; Jason Hancock, WideOrbit; Claudia Backus, Meta; Anne Hessberg, Microsoft; and Dave Sabey, Sabey Data Centers.

The AI Expo is integrated into the three-day STEM Summit and offers educators the chance to earn STEM clock hours through NCESD, according to the announcement. The AI Expo is open to businesses, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and the public. This free event is made possible by a generous donation from Microsoft. There will also be a social after the event, sponsored by Native Network.
