Anain, a rising senior at Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy, who competes at Lake City High, was the top female finisher in the Long Bridge Swim in Sandpoint on Aug. 3, finishing the 1.76-mile swim in 36 minutes and 5 seconds. It was the second straight year that Anain was the top female in the event. “She really thrives on hard work,” Coeur d’Alene Area Swim Team coach Alicia Thornton said. “She can’t get enough of it. This type of athlete is a rare breed, and a dream to work with.”
