A 43-year old Bigfork woman died in a vehicular collision on Montana 83 northeast of Bigfork Friday, Aug. 9. She was later identified as Dusty Ann Fratzke.
Montana Highway Patrol reported the woman was driving northbound around 9:46 a.m., and attempted a lefthand turn onto Wolf Creek Ranch Road into oncoming traffic. Her Audi A6 was struck by a southbound Toyota Tundra occupied by two 21-year old men from Lakeside.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Both men were seriously injured and transported to Logan Health Medical Center. The passenger of the Tundra was the only one not wearing a seat belt. Road conditions were reported as bare and dry.
Drugs are a suspected factor in the crash.
As originally published, this story reported that Fratzke was from Butte, which was listed as her residence on her drivers license in the initial MHP report. It has since been updated to reflect new information.
