40 Under 40: Jenni Shelton
STAFF REPORT | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 7 months, 2 weeks AGO
Jenni Shelton is one of the people behind the scenes that keeps the momentum going for success with Moses Lake Museum & Art Center programming, said Dollie Boyd, the museum’s superintendent and curator.
“Jenni is always professional, organized, and an asset to the museum. She is in charge of our public programs and under her leadership, our visitor numbers and participation in classes and programs has rebounded from pandemic era closures to record attendance last year,” Boyd said in her nomination submission.
Shelton, whose official title is creative programs coordinator, also runs the free summer concert series for the Moses Lake Creative District, which is doubling its offerings from three music events to six.
“She is always thinking about how we can do more and better serve the community,” Boyd said.
Shelton has served on the Umani Festival Committee for the last two and a half years and has worked for the city of Moses Lake for six years now. She is also active in supporting Moses Lake High School and Frontier Middle School athletics.
