LOCAL WATCH: Lasher moves into seventh in Vandal women's soccer scoring in opener

Idaho 3, UC Riverside 0: At Riverside, Calif., Maddy Lasher, a graduate student from Lake City High, had an assist and two shots on goal for the Vandals in a win over the Highlanders in the season opener for both programs. Lasher moved into seventh in program history on the assist with 35 career points.
Purdue 1, Washington State 0: At West Lafayette, Ind., Gracie Dunaway scored on an assist from Sydney Boudreau in the 75th minute for the Boilermakers in a win over the Cougars in the nonconference opener for both programs at Folk Field.
Utah 2, Gonzaga 1: At Salt Lake City, Katelyn Rigg scored in the 53rd minute to tie the game for the Bulldogs, but a goal by Bella Woods in the 89th minute was the difference in the nonconference opener at Ute Field.
Troy 2, Eastern Washington 1: At Troy, Ala., Isabelle Herting scored on an assist from Delani Walker in the 44th minute for the Eagles, who fell to the Trojans in the season opener for both at the Troy Soccer Complex.
