Police arrested two minors early Tuesday morning for a string of vehicle burglaries in Post Falls.
Post Falls police said a witness spotted the two suspects trying to break into a car around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The suspects reportedly fled after the car alarm went off and were pursued on foot by police.
One suspect was arrested after a chase lasting several blocks, while the other was arrested later, according to police.
The suspects were allegedly involved in other car burglaries in the area and possessed a stolen gun during the attempted break-in, police said. Subsequent searches of the suspects’ homes allegedly yielded property that had been stolen during previous auto burglaries.
Police said the suspects were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property.
