The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed Douglas H. Wilson II as a new detention deputy.

Wilson was born in Coeur d’Alene and raised in Sandpoint. He is not new to law enforcement, as his father also pursued that career field, serving as a Los Angeles police detective for 26 years before he retired. "He made me the man I am today,” Wilson said in a press release.

After attending North Idaho College, Wilson then applied for and received the position at BSCO.

“I am honored to be a part of the law enforcement family and grateful the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office has given me this opportunity,” he said. “I now have the opportunity to expand my abilities to serve Boundary County.”
